
Open: Bel Posto in Huntington

Bel Posto Ristorante & Enoteca is mixing traditional and contemporary Italian cooking in downtown Huntington. The new restaurant takes over the space vacated by Mangiamo.
Michael Ross, a veteran of Long Island kitchens including the former Gabrielle's in Rockville Centre and Jedediah's in Jamesport, is the chef at the New Street restaurant.
His opening menu includes antipasti ranging from yellowfin tuna crudo to fried calamari with tarragon aioli, pastas from fresh ricotta gnocchi with local corn and pistachio-parsley pesto to lasagna, and main dishes from lobster risotto to eggplant Parmesan.
Bel Posto is open Tuesday to Sunday for dinner, starting at 5 p.m. The restaurant is open for lunch on Saturday and Sunday, beginning at noon. Bel Posto is closed on Monday.
