Passenger suffers head trauma, 5 others hurt in 1-car crash in Flower Hill

Six people were injured, including one who suffered severe head trauma, after a sedan slammed into a retaining wall and two trees in Flower Hill Sunday evening, Nassau police said.
A 36-year-old woman was driving a 2003 Toyota Camry near Harbor Park Drive South and West Shore Road at about 6:45 p.m. when the car hit the retaining wall before striking the trees, police said. She and her five male passengers, ages 17, 21, 28, 35 and 42, were taken to a hospital. One passenger is listed with severe head trauma, police said.
Police did not release the identity of the driver or the passengers. An investigation is ongoing.
