A man and a woman were charged Monday in connection with five Suffolk County burglaries since Thursday, Suffolk police said.

Ralph Pergola and Kristin DiGiglio, who police said were homeless, were charged with breaking the glass front doors of five businesses and taking money from the register.

Pergola and DiGiglio were arrested by Suffolk detectives Monday and charged with burglarizing the following businesses:

  • Setauket Village Diner on Route 25A, East Setauket, on Oct. 19
  • Café Spiga on North Country Road, Mount. Sinai, on Oct. 19
  • Barcode Smoke Shop and Hookah on Mark Tree Road, Centereach, on Oct. 21
  • Port Smoke & Vape Shop on Old Town Road, Port Jefferson Station, on Oct. 22
  • Better on a Bagel Express on Gibbs Road, Coram, on Oct. 23

Pergola, 44, and DiGiglio, 35, were each charged with five counts of burglary and were being held until their arraignment, scheduled for Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip, police said.
