The reported threat to a Walmart store in Westbury Monday afternoon was investigated by police and deemed not credible.

Nassau police said the 12:45 p.m. threat phoned in to the Walmart store at 1220 Old Country Rd., which prompted police to evacuate the building, was determined not to be a safety risk to customers and employees. Police did not reveal the specific nature of the threat.

A store manager had called police to report the incident and police cleared the building as a precaution, searched the facility for about an hour, and made the decision to allow customers back in and for the store to operate normally.
