A Lindenhurst woman has been arrested and charged in the fatal stabbing of a man inside her home during an altercation Sunday morning, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.

Edwin Valentin, 34, of Wyandanch, was pronounced dead on the scene following a 911 call, and the woman, Samantha Robson, 29, was arrested and transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries she sustained in the altercation, the department wrote in a news release.

She was charged with second-degree murder.

The stabbing inside the Bristol Street home happened at 3:16 a.m., the release said.

Robson, who was in police custody, couldn’t be reached for comment, and it’s unclear whether she has an attorney.

Police declined to disclose what happened during the altercation, her injuries, the nature of their relationship or any other information about the case.
