Police have determined there is no criminality in connection with the two bodies found in a burned car at the Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream Sunday night.

A police source said it appeared it was a double suicide.

Nassau County police said at 4:30 a.m. Monday that a body had been found in the car, then reported shortly after 9 a.m. that another body had been found.

Contrary to what police had said earlier, both victims were female, police said in a release.

Officers went to the roof of the Sears parking garage at 11:06 p.m. Sunday in response to a report of a car fire, police said.

After the fire was put out, officers found the victims inside the vehicle, police said.

Detectives urge anyone with information on the crime to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477.
