Cops seek help from public in solving murder of Andre Bell in Hempstead
Police are asking the public for help solving the murder of a 34-year-old man last month in Hempstead.
Andre Bell was found in a vehicle on Kennedy Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 14, suffering from gunshot wounds to the head, Nassau County police said. He died six days later.
Police did not release any other details of the shooting.
Anyone with information is being asked to call the Nassau Homicide Squad at 516-573-7788 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential and callers are eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for any information leading to an arrest.
