Shelves of Halloween candy were a casualty when a car smashed through the front of a Rite Aid store in Williston Park Tuesday, said police and a store employee.

No one was injured and the store on Hillside Avenue was open for business Wednesday morning, the employee said.

Nassau County police said the car was bumped from behind after a separate vehicle crash and plowed through the front of the store at about 1:30 p.m.

It ran directly into the seasonal goods display that was filled with candy for the Halloween holiday, a store employee said. The bags of candy were scattered across the floor.

The store was open at the time but the car did not strike any employees or customers, police said. The driver of the car was also not injured, police said.
