Police ID victim in fatal motorcycle crash
Nassau police have identified the victim in a fatal motorcycle accident on Northern Boulevard in Greenvale last week.
Police said Colton Daniels, 32, of Oyster Bay, was driving a Honda motorcycle when he was involved in a collision with a 2002 landscaping truck at the intersection of Northern Boulevard and Addison Lane at 8:58 a.m. on Aug. 29, a police news release said.
According to detectives, Daniels was heading westbound on Northern Boulevard and the truck was heading eastbound on Northern Boulevard when the collision occurred. Daniels was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:08 a.m., police said.
The driver of the landscaping truck remained at the scene. Police said Monday that no criminality is suspected but that the investigation is ongoing.
