Fire damages Syosset restaurant

About 150 firefighters from eight different fire departments responded to a blaze at Caracalla Ristorante in Syosset shortly after midnight Friday. Two firefighters were injured, treated and released at the scene, while battling the fire at 102 Jericho Tpke., Nassau County police said. There were no other injuries at the fire early Saturday. About 150 firefighters from eight different fire departments responded to a blaze at a Syosset restaurant shortly after midnight Friday.
Two firefighters were injured, treated and released at the scene, while battling the fire at 102 Jericho Tpke., Nassau County police said.
There were no other injuries at the fire early Saturday. The restaurant, listed as Caracalla Ristorante, was closed at the time of the incident and no one was inside.
There was significant damage to the building. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, police said.
