Police are looking for a man they say robbed a Franklin Square nail salon Thursday evening at gunpoint.

Police said a man estimated to be between 40 and 50 years old, wearing a black mask and black hooded sweatshirt, entered Angel Nail and Spa on Hempstead Turnpike at 6:24 p.m. He showed a female employee his handgun and demanded money from the register, they said.

The employee complied, and the suspect left with an unknown amount of cash, fleeing on foot eastbound, police said. No injuries were reported.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain anonymous.
