The former Mary Jo Buttafuoco, the Massapequa housewife who survived a shooting by "Long Island Lolita" Amy Fisher in 1992, has remarried in Las Vegas, TMZ.com reports.

Having gone by her maiden name of Mary Jo Connery for several years, the ex-wife of auto-mechanic adulterer Joey Buttafuoco has wed Stu Tendler, a previously married graphics designer originally from Bellmore. He reportedly now manages a print shop in Las Vegas, according to TMZ.

Connery and Tendler have known each other for nearly a decade at least, with Joey Buttafuoco telling The Associated Press in 2003, the year she filed for divorce after more than a quarter-century of marriage, "She's with another guy. His name is Stew [sic]."

ABC News in 2007 said she and Tendler lived in California at the time, where they ran a now-defunct business, OriginalPartyPosters.com, that designed party posters.

Connery and Buttafuoco have two grown children, Paul, in his early 30s, and Jessica, in her late 20s.

Mary Jo Buttafuoco became an unwilling celebrity after being shot by Wantagh native Fisher, a 17-year-old senior at John F. Kennedy High School in Bellmore, who was having an affair with Joey Buttafuoco, then 36. Though Mary Jo was shot in the face, the bullet -- still lodged near her spine -- did not enter her brain. She lost hearing in her right ear and has partial facial paralysis, but otherwise remains healthy.

In 2009, she and Julie McCarron wrote her autobiography, "Getting It Through My Thick Skull: Why I Stayed, What I Learned, and What Millions of People Involved with Sociopaths Need to Know." Her website lists her as a speaker on recognizing and avoiding toxic relationships.
