Nassau County police pulled a truck from the water at Wantagh Park on Tuesday afternoon after the vehicle rolled down a boat ramp.

A police spokeswoman said the Dodge Ram pickup truck’s female driver was taking pictures at the boat ramp at about 12:30 p.m. when truck became “caught” in the water and began to move forward.

The driver was able to exit the truck uninjured before it became fully submerged, the spokeswoman said.

Police were able to stop the truck from moving farther underwater and retrieved it.
