A man wearing a wool cap with a snowflake design robbed a bank in Merrick Monday morning, Nassau police said.

He went into TD Bank at 2260 Merrick Rd. just before 10 a.m. and handed a note to the teller, police said. After getting money, he then ran east on Merrick Road, then north into the parking lot of the nearby CVS drugstore, police said.

There were six employees at the bank and four customers at the time of the robbery, but no injuries were reported, police said.

The suspect appeared to be 20 to 30 years old and was also wearing sunglasses, a blue-hooded sweatshirt and dark pants, police said.

Detectives ask anyone with information to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
