Police: Man tried to rob Merrick bank

Robbery Squad detectives are looking for a man who tried to rob a Merrick bank Wednesday afternoon, Nassau County police said.
Detectives said a man entered the Citibank at 2085 Merrick Rd. at about 2:20 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money.
But the man left without getting cash, police said, heading east through the parking lot toward Kenny Avenue.
Police have released surveillance photographs and video of the suspect.
Six employees were in the bank at the time, police said. There were no reported injuries.
