An Elmont woman drove off the Southern State Parkway Thursday and crashed through a residential backyard in North Valley Stream, hitting two parked vehicles, state police said.
Tatiana Laurent, 32, of Elmont, failed to negotiate the curve at Exit 13N, Central Avenue, on the eastbound parkway about 12:15 p.m., police said.
Her Chrysler Sebring struck a tree on the shoulder, mowed down a chain-link fence and a PVC fence, then hit two parked vehicles in the yard of a home on Arkansas Drive, which runs parallel to the parkway, authorities said.
The homeowner saw the wreckage from the house, police said.
Laurent was not injured and was not charged, police said.
