BACKGROUND

• Sillitti, 46, of Manhasset, was elected to the Assembly in 2020 after five years as human resource director for the Nassau County Board of Elections.
• She worked for former Nassau Legis. Dave Mejias and held various jobs for the Town of North Hempstead.  
• Sillitti graduated in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Georgia.

ISSUES

• Sillitti said she wants to combat the effects of climate change and aging infrastructure.
• She said she is committed to public safety and to supporting local fire departments, police officers and district attorneys.
• Sillitti said she believes in transparency and prioritizes being accessible for her residents. “I want people to be able to trust me and be comfortable with me,” she said.
