BACKGROUND

  • Reynolds, 57, of Lake Ronkonkoma, is running on the Democratic Party line in the general election. 
  • Reynolds has a bachelor's degree from Southern Connecticut State University and received graduate degrees in teaching from Adelphi University, in business administration from Amberton University in Garland, Texas, and in telecommunications management from the Polytechnic Institute of New York in Brooklyn.
  • He has worked for Verizon in various capacities, including as regional manager for logistics operations in New York. He was also vice president of operations for Sysco Albany from 2022 through 2023.

ISSUES

  • Reynolds said he would prioritize affordable housing by increasing inventory. He would focus on quality education and health care, and he supports reproductive rights and wants to ensure prescription drugs are affordable.
  • The environment, especially water quality, is another priority for Reynolds. 
  • Reynolds said he wants to facilitate bipartisan collaboration on legislation.
