BACKGROUND

  • Lubin, 30, of Lindenhurst, is running on the Democratic Party line in the general election.  
  • He has worked with NFL and pro soccer teams to develop partnership deals involving advertising, and ran a small business with athletes and artists to design clothing. 
  • Lubin graduated in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in organizational sciences from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

ISSUES

  • Lubin said he supports the bipartisan bill to secure the southern border that was blocked by Republicans in Congress.
  • Lubin said he would work to restore legal protections for abortion that were lost when the U.S. Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade in June 2022.
  • He said he would seek to restore the full deductibility of state and local taxes (SALT) on federal income taxes, which was capped under a 2017 Republican measure.
