A man robbed the TD Bank in Sayville Thursday afternoon, Suffolk police said.

He passed a note demanding cash about 4:20 p.m. to the teller at the North Main Street bank, police said, and after getting the money, he ran east on Main Street.

He appeared to be between 25 and 30 years old, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and had a thin build, police said. He had a mustache and beard and was wearing a gray jacket with dark sleeves and a gray knit cap, police said.

Detectives in the major case unit said anyone with information could call them at 631-852-6555 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477.
