Suffolk County police Thursday identified a man found dead last week on a Brentwood street.

Homicide detectives said in a news release the man is Pablo Raphael Vasquez-Rosalas, 34, who lived on Bradley Street, near where he was found dead at 6:12 a.m. May 12.

Third Precinct officers responded to an emergency call for a body lying in the road on Nimitz Avenue and found Vasquez-Rosalas with a trauma wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office, police said.

A police spokeswoman said detectives have not released information on Vasquez-Rosalas' wounds and that the investigation is ongoing.
