Three people were injured when a driver crashed an SUV into a house on Great East Neck Road in West Babylon early Sunday morning, Suffolk County police said.

Cristian Banega-Salmendares, 27, of West Babylon, was driving his 2023 Dodge SUV south when he lost control of the vehicle and went airborne after striking a low concrete wall, police said. The vehicle then crashed into the house at about 12:30 a.m., police said.

Banega-Salmendares was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip along with the couple living in the house — Anna Baptiste, 46, and her husband, Michel, 45 — for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The Babylon town fire marshal and building inspector were called to the scene to assess damage to the structure, according to police. No criminal charges have been filed in the crash.
