Two teens were injured in a dirt bike crash in Ronkonkoma Sunday afternoon, Suffolk County police said, with one airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries.

Police said a 13-year-old boy, from Huntington, was riding a dirt bike at 10th Street Motocross, at 2000 10th St. in Ronkonkoma, when he rode his bike over a ramp and his rear tire hit an 18-year-old male, from Massapequa Park, in the face while he was picking up his own bike.

The incident happened at around 12:45 p.m., police said.

The 13-year-old was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The Lakeland Fire Department took the 18-year-old to the same hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating the crash.
