A Deer Park woman was killed in an early-morning crash in Wyandanch Friday after she apparently lost control of her car and struck a tree, Suffolk County police said.
Sonia B. Martinez, 21, was killed in the crash on eastbound Main Avenue at 1:21 a.m., police said.
Police said Martinez apparently lost control of her 2007 Toyota Yaris and struck a tree near North 15th Street.
Detectives said they don't believe any other vehicles were involved in the accident, but are still asking anyone with information about it to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
The Toyota was impounded for a safety check. The investigation is ongoing.
