Firefighters battled a house fire on Lidge Drive in Farmingville, Suffolk County police and fire officials said. (April 9, 2012) Credit: Stringer News Service

Firefighters battled a house fire on Lidge Drive in Farmingville early Monday, Suffolk County police and fire officials said.

The residents were able to get out of the house before firefighters arrived at about 2:30 a.m. to put out the blaze, police said.

Neither police nor fire officials had immediate information on the damage to the home.
