Two young teenage boys were arrested and charged as juveniles with breaking into a home in East Islip just after midnight Tuesday, police said.

The identities of the two were not released because of their ages, Suffolk County police said. Police said only that they are 13 and 14 years old.

The break-in occurred on Washington Street near Greenwood Avenue at about 12:15 a.m. Police said that the two stole a cellphone and keys before fleeing the residence.

The two were arrested a short time later on nearby Carleton Avenue.

Arraignment details were not available because the two will appear in Family Court.
