He stole cash from a church donation box, police said.

Now investigators are trying to identify the man caught on surveillance video at St. Anthony's Church on Cheshire Place in East Northport, where Suffolk County police said he stole donation money on Feb. 2.

The theft occurred at about 1:45 p.m., police said.

Police said the man has a thin to medium build and gray hair. He wore a red shirt.

Police are asking anyone with information about the theft to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
