Motorcyclist Brenda Ingraham, of Farmingville, killed in crash on Blue Point Road, police say

A 28-year-old woman was killed when her motorcycle collided with an SUV on Blue Point Road in Farmingville on Sunday afternoon, Suffolk County police said. Credit: Newsday/James Carbone
Suffolk County police were investigating a crash that left a motorcyclist dead in Farmingville on Sunday afternoon.
A 38-year-old man was driving a Ford Explorer south on Blue Point Road at around 1:15 p.m. when he tried to turn left onto Pinedale Avenue and collided with a northbound 2018 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, police said in a news release.
The motorcyclist, Brenda Ingraham, 28, of Farmingville, was pronounced dead at Stony Brook University Hospital, police said.
The driver of the Explorer was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, according to police.
