Suffolk police arrested a North Amityville man Sunday on charges he fatally shot a Missouri man outside a Long Island Masonic lodge.
Police said Jakyma Bunn, 38, was charged with second degree murder in the shooting of Louis Wilson, 44, of Kansas City in the chest outside the Hollywood Lodge No. 92 in North Amityville early Saturday morning.
Bunn is also charged with second degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon and is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip on Monday.
The slain man's brothers -- Shaun Wilson, 37, and Junious Wilson, 38, both of North Amityville -- were shot in the legs, but survived. The shooting occurred following a melee outside the lodge, police said.
Bunn suffered nonlife-threatening injuries and is being held at Suffolk's Fifth Police Precinct.
Louis Wilson was a North Amityville native who had moved to Missouri and was on Long Island on vacation visiting his family, a cousin who asked not to be named told Newsday reporters on Saturday.
"He was happy to be back home," and went to the lodge with his brothers for a fun night out, she said.
Hollywood Lodge No. 92, at the corner of Coolidge and Rosewood avenues, is often used as a party venue and has been the site of brawls and shootings in the past, according to neighbors and public records.
Officers had rushed to the building early Saturday after receiving 911 calls and a ShotSpotter notification. When they arrived, "a large fight" involving five men was breaking up outside, and officers found the three men with gunshot wounds and a fourth victim with minor injuries, said Det. Lt. Kevin Beyrer, head of Suffolk's homicide squad.
