Temporary Northern State Parkway traffic pattern changes are scheduled for the parkway at Route 110 in Huntington beginning Tuesday, state officials said.

As part of a $56 million state Department of Transportation construction project in the area, two eastbound lanes will be shifted slightly south on to a temporary bridge, beginning about 6 a.m. Tuesday.

At 5 a.m. Wednesday, two westbound lanes will be shifted slightly south onto the temporary bridge.

The old parkway bridge will then be shut down for reconstruction, the DOT said.

Unspecified delays are anticipated in the area, the DOT said. The scheduled traffic shifts and construction work are subject to delays due to bad weather, the agency said.
