A Queens man racing another driver at speeds of 125 mph on the Long Island Expressway late Friday night was stopped and cited, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.

The Suffolk Street Takeover Task Force stopped Khadim Ndoye, 27, just before midnight on the Long Island Expressway, Suffolk police said in a news release. He was racing a 2018 Audi S5 against a BMW going west near Exit 49 in Melville, police said.

A Suffolk police spokesperson said, "The other driver did not get pulled over," but investigators continue to search for the driver of the BMW.

Police cited Ndoye for participating in an "unlawful speed contest and reckless driving," as well as "other vehicle and traffic infractions," the agency's release said. Suffolk police did not provide information about the other charges when asked by Newsday.

Ndoye's vehicle was impounded by police, according to the news release.

Ndoye is set to be arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip on May 8.
