Suffolk County police have canceled a Silver Alert for a missing Ridge man who has Alzheimer's disease.
William J. Macdowall, 59, who lives at the Ridge Rest Home on Whiskey Road, was found at a convenience store Saturday.
He had last been seen leaving the Rose Caracappa Senior Center in Mount Sinai, police said early Saturday.
