A crash on the Long Island Expressway that had closed multiple eastbound lanes in Jericho early Friday morning has been cleared, according to Nassau County police.

No serious injuries were reported in the accident that occurred near Exit 40, police said.

The closures had been announced in an advisory sent out by police shortly after 5:30 a.m. advising drivers to use an alternate route to avoid the area. By 7:15 a.m., police said the crash had been cleared and all lanes reopened.
