In addition to achieving academic excellence, Aatmaja Pandya of Hicksville High School, possesses exemplary abilities in both art and music. She has received top scores in eight rigorous A/P courses over the past three years, and is ranked fourth in her graduating class.

Passionate for art and music, Aatmaja is a member of the Select String Ensemble, German Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, and is currently vice-president of the National Art Honor Society. Aatmaja created multi-media images for a recent musical performance of Otto M. Schwarz’s “The Man in the Ice” by the Hicksville High School Symphonic Band. She uses her artistic talents to contribute to local and worldwide causes such as Empty Bowls, an artistic project that raises money for local food pantries, and the Memory Project, which provides portraits to poor and orphaned children in third world countries.
