Free job preparation workshops are being offered Thursday and May 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Mitchel Field Athletic Complex, located at 1 Charles Lindbergh Blvd. in East Garden City, across from the Cradle of Aviation Museum.

Professionals from reputable personnel staffing agencies will conduct the workshops. Pre-registration is required by calling 516-227-7692 or 516-227-8656.

“We encourage everyone, including veterans, to register for one of the free job preparation workshops as this is a great opportunity to enhance your ability of becoming gainfully employed,” Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano said in a statement. “The better prepared the job seekers are, the more confident they come across which can lead to greater employment opportunities and success.”

More than 220 companies are already registered for a Private Sector Job Fair to be held at the Marriott Hotel in Uniondale on June 11.
