The 2013 New York City Zagat guide comes out Wednesday, and North End Grill was ranked the city's best new restaurant.
The Battery Park City hot spot, which opened in January, earned the highest food score of any new restaurant in the city, as ranked by the guide's more than 44,000 surveyors.
Le Bernardin, perennially at the top of any restaurant ranking, took the No. 1 spot for Top Food - based solely on Zagat scores - and Most Popular, as determined by how many "favorite" votes it received from surveyors.
The 2013 guide reviews a record 2,120 restaurants in the city.
The 2013 Michelin guide also comes out Wednesday, awarding a coveted two-star rating to Atera, Michelin's highest-rated new restaurant.
