It’s usually the clothes that make the ladies swoon on Fashion’s Night Out, but at the Madison Avenue DKNY store on Thursday night, it was FDNY firefighters who set hearts aflutter.

Models from the FDNY 2013 Calendar of Heroes mingled with guests and flashed their smiles at the bash, hosted by nightlife photographer Patrick McMullan, who shot the sexy calendar.

The firemen we spoke to said they upped their workouts and kept to strict diets pre-shoot.

“Water and rice cakes for six months,” joked Mr. January, Paul Caruti.

But in all seriousness: “When I was done, I went to STK and ordered the biggest steak you can get, two desserts, had some drinks and just sat back and relaxed.”

All proceeds from sales of the calendars benefit the FDNY Foundation. Calendars are available for $15.95 at FDNYFoundation.org.
