A "Law & Order" actress is a real-life crime victim.

Tamara Tunie, who plays a medical examiner on "Law & Order: SVU," castigated her ex-business manager as "malicious, cruel and diabolical" and a "menace to society" as he pleaded guilty to grand larceny Tuesday in Manhattan Supreme Court, according to the New York Post.

Joseph Cilibrasi, 51, admitted to fleecing Tunie of approximately $1.4 million, as well as $75,000 from Kansas City Symphony music director Michael Stern and opening a credit card in the name of "Prizzi's Honor" screenwriter Janet Roach. He used the money to finance musicals and live a profligate lifestyle, but has since accepted responsibility and expressed remorse, said his lawyer, Gerald Shargel.

Tunie told the court that she often worked three jobs to restore her home, support her 77-year-old mother and other relatives and to help charities between 2002 and 2009, while Cilibrasi was siphoning off her savings. "I cannot reasonably hope to replace what was stolen," said Tunie.

Cilibrasi is expected to be sentenced to two-and a half to seven-and-a-half years in prison, according to the Manhattan District Attorney's office.
