Protesters early Friday blockaded a College Point, Queens, printing facility owned by the New York Times and used by other publications, including Newsday.

The protest affected Newsday subscribers in Nassau and Queens. Those who didn't receive the paper Friday will get it with their Saturday edition.

The College Point plant also prints The Wall Street Journal, The New York Post and USA Today.

Activists from the climate change protest group Extinction Rebellion claimed responsibility for the action, which they said in a statement was intended to draw attention to the failure of media corporations “to cover the climate emergency with the frequency it deserves.”

An NYPD spokeswoman said after a 12:03 a.m. call 15 people were arrested and 17 more given criminal summonses for disorderly conduct.
