Eric Dane is cleaning up his act.
The “Grey’s Anatomy” star has “voluntarily checked himself into a treatment facility to help him get off of pain medication that he was prescribed for a sports injury that he suffered over the recent hiatus,” a rep for Dane told People magazine.
Dane entered a facility last month — reportedly Los Angeles’ Hills Treatment Center — for a 30-day stint. He is expected to return to the set this week to begin shooting Season 8 of “Grey’s Anatomy” as Dr. Mark “McSteamy” Sloan, the actor’s rep said.
“Business as usual,” according to the rep.
News broke a few weeks ago that Dane, 38, and his wife of almost seven years, actress Rebecca Gayheart, 39, are expecting their second child. (The two have a 16-month-old daughter named Billie.)
Props to Dane for seeking help before the baby is born!
