The Brookhaven Town board will vote at its Tuesday board meeting on a resolution to name the town amphitheater the Pennysaver Amphitheater at Bald Hill.

Under a contract with Ronkonkoma radio group JVC Broadcasting, the town will receive half of any profit from the naming deal, according to town staff.

In March, the town subcontracted with the Long Island Events division of JVC Broadcasting to manage the amphitheater in Farmingville, which has lost $1.5 million in the last four years.

All Island Media, which publishes the Pennysaver magazine, approached JVC about the naming rights, though the amount of revenue was not available because the contract has not been signed yet, according to the town.

The three-year contract mandates that an annual fee be paid to the town every year. The contract has an option to be extended for another two years.
