Beneath the main floors of the Rock Hall Museum in Lawrence is the cellar space, which is home to a wine cellar, cool storage area, a warming kitchen and an ongoing excavation and archeology exhibit room where they have been digging and finding items, such as wine and olive oil bottles since the mid-1990s. The historic Rock Hall Museum in Lawrence will host its 27th annual country fair on Saturday and Sunday.

This year, the museum of the Town of Hempstead will host a Civil War Encampment with the 30th Virginia Infantry Company B. The museum is located at 199 Broadway in Lawrence.

The fair, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., also includes a harvest market, scarecrow making, pumpkin patch, food court, pony rides, animal farm and craft area for children.

There will be Colonial-era re-enactments that will include demonstrations and hands-on displays of 18th century cooking, games, music and craft-making. There also will be regularly scheduled tours of the museum, cellar exhibits,  cold storage area and wine cellar.
