It might soon be lights, camera and action for Munsey Park.
Warner Bros. is eyeing the village for the location of a new movie starring Tina Fey and Jason Bateman.
At the village’s board of trustees meeting on Wednesday, Warner Bros. representatives said that they had been searching for a “quintessentially nice neighborhood” in which to film the adaptation of Jonathan Tropper’s book, “This is Where I Leave You,” about a Jewish family who sits shiva after the patriarch dies.
The location scouts settled on a home on Burnham Place, a small cul-de-sac off Park Avenue.
In addition to Fey and Bateman, the movie is slated to star Jane Fonda.
Village trustees plan to hold a special meeting April 17, at which they will discuss the filming application. If approved, it won’t be the first brush with Hollywood for the Nassau County village. “The Good Shepherd” — the 2006 movie starring Matt Damon, Robert De Niro and Angelina Jolie — filmed scenes in Munsey Park, as did the television show “The Good Wife.”
In addition to the filming application, the board will consider adopting the 2014 budget at the special meeting.
The board adjourned its budget hearing until next Wednesday to give the three new members — Mayor Frank DeMento and trustees Sean Haggerty and Patrick Hance — time to study the budget. The three were elected to office last month.
