Long Island forecast: Rain likely Wednesday, could last until Friday

Long Island's weather has gone from summery back to springlike, and forecasters said the cooler temperatures and rain are in store through Friday.
But the Memorial Day weekend forecast is looking rosier.
National Weather Service forecasters predicted possible rain from Wednesday through Friday, most likely on Wednesday and Thursday. Skies are expected to clear on Saturday.
Rain and a high of 57 degrees is expected for Wednesday, with more rain and a high in the upper 50s on Thursday.
Temperatures will drop into the mid-to-upper 40s overnight Thursday into Friday, the weather service said. Daytime temperatures are expected to return to the 60s on Friday and Saturday.
The rest of the weekend should be beautiful, according to the latest projections, with a high of 69 on Sunday and 70 on Monday, and with clear skies both days.
