A Victorian home in Bayport is on the market for $825,000. Taxes are $18,528 on the property, which is in the Bayport-Blue Point School District.

The house was built in 1888 and includes five bedrooms and three bathrooms. Located on the corner of Bayport Avenue and Academy Street, the property boasts two driveways, said listing agent Joanne Sturchio, of Douglas Elliman Real Estate.

"The side street is Academy Street, and that's where the garage is, so they have this big, triple-wide driveway on Academy Street, through which you can enter the garage," said Sturchio. "And on Bayport Avenue, it has a beautiful gravel driveway. You can park there, get out of your car and walk onto the front covered porch."

The house totals 3,164 square feet and sits on a 0.47-acre lot. There are several updated features in addition to vintage Victorian touches, said Sturchio.

"At some point, the original house expanded, many years ago," she said. "They enlarged the kitchen and den and added the two-car garage, with a big, lofted attic over it, which is really great extra space."

There are a handful of stained glass windows, a rear staircase and hardwood floors throughout the home, Sturchio added. The property also features two wood-burning fireplaces, a room right off the kitchen with a built-in wet bar and a backyard shed.

There is a pond with surrounding gardens in the backyard, as well. Those were added by the previous owners, Sturchio said.

"It was a labor of love," she said. "You don't build something like that overnight, or even in one season."
