Only two days after the NFL Draft, Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan on Monday fired six members of the team's pro personnel and college personnel departments.

Director of pro personnel Brendan Prophett and scouts Rick Courtright, David Hinson, Cole Hufnagel, Chris Prescott and Seth Turner were let go.

"I appreciate their contributions to the organization and wish them the best in the future," Maccagnan said in a statement.

Prophett worked under former Jets general managers Terry Bradway, Mike Tannenbaum and John Idzik. He came to the Jets in 2000 and was in his ninth season as director of pro personnel.

Hufnagel, who joined the Jets in 2006, moved into pro personnel in 2007 and shifted to college area scout after the 2012 draft. Idzik hired Courtright, Hinson and Prescott as college scouts in 2013. Idzik hired Turner last year as a college scout.

On Saturday, the draft's third and final day, Maccagnan said, "I thought the staff did an amazing job. As I said in my first press conference before the draft, there are so many people that get involved in the college scouting process at various levels, from the college scouts to the pro scouts to all the administrative people to the coaches, to the trainers, to the doctors, to the security, the video guys, we put so much time and effort into this."

Three days after he accepted the Jets' GM job, Maccagnan fired Bradway, who was senior director of college scouting, and director of college scouting Jeff Bauer.
