Jets new cornerback Sauce Gardner signed his rookie contract on Saturday, the team announced. Gardner inked a four-year, $38.7 million deal. It’s fully guaranteed and includes a $25.3 million signing bonus and a fifth-year team option.

Gardner, the No. 4 pick, was the first of the Jets’ three first-round choices to sign his contract. The Jets also drafted wide receiver Garrett Wilson and defensive end Jermaine Johnson in the first round.

At Cincinnati, Gardner didn’t allow a touchdown in three seasons. That will be tested in the NFL, and particularly in the AFC East since the Jets have to face Stefon Diggs and Tyreek Hill twice a year.
