Harin Lee of Bayside, soon to be a sophomore at St. John's, won the Long Island Women's Amateur Stroke Play Championship Wednesday by eight shots. On Bethpage Red, playing at 6,205 yards and par 75, Lee followed her 1-under-par 74 Tuesday with a 71 to take the Long Island Golf Association title.

Her triumph came a week after Colin Dolph of Huntington Country Club won the LIGA's top men's amateur stroke play tournament, the Michael Hebron Championship, on Bethpage Black. Dolph, who started playing golf in Hebron's junior program at Smithtown Landing, won the 36-hole event with a par 71 and 72. Among those in his gallery was Larry Dell Aquila, his coach at Nassau Community College, who had given Dolph a few lessons earlier in the week.
