Sophia Braddick scored off an assist from Anna McCarthy with 8:08 left in the third quarter to lead No. 4 Bay Shore/Islip past No. 5 Patchogue-Medford, 1-0, in the quarterfinals of the Suffolk Class A field hockey tournament.

Morgan Cousins made eight saves and Maya Escandon made a defensive save in the fourth quarter to preserve the shutout. Bay Shore/Islip (14-3) will visit No. 1 Sachem East in the semifinals at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Kate Comiskey made eight saves for Patchogue-Medford (8-7).

Northport 5, Huntington 0: Juliana Tietjen had two goals and an assist in No. 2 Northport’s win over No. 7 Huntington in the quarterfinals of the Suffolk Class A tournament. Sophia Cox, Nina Corbett and Scarlet Hill each scored a goal. Northport (12-1) will host No. 3 Ward Melville at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday in the semifinals. Huntington finishes 9-7-1.

Ward Melville 6, Whitman 0: Peyton Phillips tallied two goals and an assist and Reese Scali scored two goals to lead No. 3 Ward Melville past No. 6 Whitman in the quarterfinals of the Suffolk Class A tournament. Isabella Parente and Maddie Larsen each scored a goal. Ava Simonton, Jadyn Stoecker, Hadley Torre and Ava Folkman each had an assist for Ward Melville (14-1-1). Whitman finishes 8-7.

Clarke 3, New Hyde Park 1: Erin Frank scored two goals and Rosanna DeStefano added a goal to lead No. 3 Clarke past No. 6 New Hyde Park in the quarterfinals of the Nassau Class B tournament. Rebekah McGrady made four saves. Clarke (10-5) will visit No. 2 Manhasset in the semifinals at 5 p.m. on Friday. Sydney Lee scored a goal and Isabella Privilegi made 14 saves for New Hyde Park (7-8-1).

Manhasset 8, Great Neck North 0: Lauren Kim scored two goals and Lily Acerra tallied a goal and two assists to lead No. 2 Manhasset past No. 7 Great Neck North in the quarterfinals of the Nassau Class B tournament. Emma Chiarucci made two saves for the shutout for Manhasset (10-5). Great Neck North finishes 7-6.

Garden City 4, New Hyde Park 0: Jack Costa scored two goals to lead top-seeded Garden City (18-0) past No. 5 New Hyde Park in a Nassau Class AA semifinal at Farmingdale State. Jack Klein had two assists and Ian Pupke made five saves. Garden City (18-0) will play No. 7 Glen Cove in the final at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at Farmingdale State. Simon Thomas made seven saves for NHP (11-6-2).

Carle Place 2, Oyster Bay 1: Amelia Fort scored on a direct kick in the 10th minute and Madison Reedy scored off an assist from Erica Pascarella in the 39th minute to lead No. 2 Carle Place over No. 3 Oyster Bay in the Nassau Class B semifinals. Carle Place (13-1-2) advances to play top-seeded Cold Spring Harbor at 6 p.m. on Friday at Farmingdale State in the Class B final. Mary Woodstock scored in the second half and Ellie Mazu made nine saves for Oyster Bay (9-6-2).

Smithtown East 2, Lindenhurst 1: Iman Maqsood scored the winning goal in overtime to lead No. 10 Smithtown East over No. 7 Lindenhurst in the first round of the Suffolk Class AAA tournament. Olivia Bozzo had a goal and Madison Kelly made nine saves. Smithtown East (7-6-2) will play at No. 2 North Babylon in the quarterfinals at 2 p.m. on Thursday. Isabella Panzenbeck scored a goal and Brooke Delzatto made nine saves for Lindenhurst (7-3-5).

Sachem North 3, Connetqout 2: Sam Morreale had 45 kills, 26 digs, two aces and one block to lead No. 2 Sachem North past No. 3 Connetquot in five sets, 27-29, 35-37, 25-13, 25-19, 15-7, in the semifinals of the Suffolk Division I tournament. Jason Cummings added 10 kills, two aces, three digs and one block and Bryan Kuhl posted 60 assists and 16 digs. Sachem North (13-3) will face No. 1 Ward Melville in the finals at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at Longwood. Connetquot finished 11-5.

BOYS GOLF

Huntington 8.5, Shoreham-Wading River 5: Will Fallon shot a 37 to lead Huntington (10-1) into the quarterfinals of the Suffolk tournament, where it will play at No. 3 Mount Sinai at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
