Newsday's annual list of the top 50 Long Island high school girls volleyball players as the 2024 fall season gets underway, in alphabetical order. All stats listed are from last season, unless otherwise noted.

Alex Arroyo, Smithtown East, S, Sr.

Arroyo led the Bulls in assists and helped guide the team to a county final appearance.

Amanda Axelrod, Syosset, MH, Sr.

Axelrod is a dominant force in the middle and had  141 kills and 50 blocks.

Juliette Azzariti, Wantagh,S, Sr

Azzariti totaled 235 assists, 48 kills and 21 aces.

Erin Baldock, Center Moriches, OH, Sr.

Baldock had 192 digs, 119 assists and 33 aces for the reigning Long Island Class B champions.

Stella Becker, Kellenberg, OH, Sr.

The Hofstra commit had 372 kills, 57 aces and 50 blocks for the CHSAA champions.

Carey-Jean Block, Seaford, OH, Sr.

The Stony Brook commit had 312 digs, 272 kills and 72 aces.

Emma Bradshaw, Ward Melville, MH, Sr.

Bradshaw totaled 204 kills, 54 aces and 49 blocks.

Isabella Brown, Great Neck North, L, Sr.

Brown totaled 173 digs and 106 aces, combining strong defense with a superb serving ability.

Katie Burke, Westhampton, OH, Jr.

Burke tallied 110 kills, 180 digs and 14 aces.

Cate Cammalleri, South Side, RS, Sr.

Cammalleri had 102 kills and 14 blocks.

Mary Chesna, Mineola, Jr. OH/RS/ Jr.

Chesna had 95 kills, 50 digs and 15 blocks for the Long Island Class A champions.

Maya Cosmo, Centereach, L, Jr.

The standout defender was named League III Defensive Player of the Year. Cosmo led Centereach in digs and serving percentage.

Kaitlin Curran, Commack, OH, Sr.

The Bryant commit had 230 kills, 194 digs and 49 aces.

Makayla Daube, Mepham, S/RS, Sr.

Daube had 272 assists, 131 kills and 27 blocks.

Chelsea D’Esposito, Patchogue-Medford, OH, Sr.

D’Esposito totaled 178 kills, 156 digs and 28 aces.

Kaitlyn Doyle, St. Anthony’s, OH, Jr.

A strong force on the outside, Doyle will be pivotal in helping the Friars contend.

Peyton Elward, Harborfields MH, Sr.

Elward had multiple games with 15 or more kills for the Tornadoes.

Zoe Farquharson, Carey, OH, Sr.

A versatile hitter who can play any hitting position, sheaveraged 14 kills a match.

Alexa Gandolfo, Ward Melville, RS, Sr.

Gandolfo had 185 kills, 119 digs, 31 aces and 24 blocks.

Micaela Gillis, Massapequa, MH, Sr.

Gillis had 100 kills and will be an even bigger factor this year for Massapequa.

Kelsie Kennedy, Bay Shore, L, Soph.

Kennedy had 278 digs and 29 aces.

Hayley Lipinski, Long Beach, S, Sr.

The Eckerd College commit had 648 assists, 188 digs and 45 aces for the Long Island Class AA champions.

Samantha Madigan, Sachem East, S, Sr.

Madigan totaled 227 assists, 103 digs and 27 aces.

Abigail Magness, South Side, MH, Sr.

The Franklin and Marshall commit had 128 kills and 38 blocks.

Taylor Marsh, Smithtown West, MH/RS, Jr.

Marsh had 141 kills and 36 blocks, earning League IV Co-Rookie of the Year.

Chloe Masciovecchio, Commack, MH/OH, Sr.

Masciovecchio totaled 117 kills, 55 blocks and 46 aces for the reigning Suffolk AAA champions.

Ava Meyn, Bayport-Blue Point, OH, Sr.

A powerful hitter and on-court leader for the Phantoms.

Rhianna Miller, Elmont, OH, Sr.

The transfer from Valley Stream Central had 134 kills.

Tristan Montalbano, Bellmore JFK, OH, Sr.

Montalbano averaged 17 killsand added 179 digs and 26 aces.

Makenzie Muscarello, Sayville, L, Sr.

Muscarello had 410 digs, including 38 in Sayville’s county championship win.

Karli O’Brien, Sacred Heart, OH, Sr.

An all-around leader, O’Brien had multiple matches with double-digit kills, and totaled seven aces in a match against St. John the Baptist.

Julia O’Connor, St. Anthony’s, MH, Sr.

O’Connor is a powerful hitter and disruptive at the net.

Katelyn Oliveto, Hauppauge, OH, Jr.

Oliveto, a starter on the Suffolk Class AA championship team, will be an offensive focal point this season.

Emily Ordon, St. John the Baptist, MH, Sr.

Ordon had 110 kills, 25 aces and 16 blocks.

Abby Palmer, Mepham, L, Sr.

Palmer tallied 250 digs and 40 aces for the Pirates.

Alex Patsos, Connetquot, OH, Jr.

Patsos had 196 kills, 192 digs and 37 aces.

Pensa-Johnson had 194 kills, 111 digs, 71 blocks and was named League VI Player of the Year last season.

Grace Profitlich, Sacred Heart, L, Sr.

Profitlich is a quick defender who can get to any ball on the court and has  great serving ability.

Samantha Raikos, Mepham, OH, Sr.

Raikos tallied 236 kills and 11 blocks.

Sadie Reich, Wantagh, OH, Sr.

The Seton Hall commit had 328 kills, 37 blocks, 28 aces and 27 assists.

Ava Reilly, Port Jefferson, S/L, Soph.

Reilly averaged 28.8 assists and added 97 digs and 26 aces for the Long Island Class C champions.

Shea Ringel, Massapequa, OH, Sr.

The Union College commit had 208 kills and 40 aces for the Long Island Class AA champions.

Cassandra Rohan, Stony Brook School, MH, Sr.

This 6-1 Iona commit is an imposing force at the net capable of impacting every point.

Lea Rowett, Sachem North, S, Sr.

Rowett had 353 assists, 45 digs, 19 kills, 18 aces and 16 blocks

Olivia Ruisi, Calhoun, MH/OH, Sr.

Ruisi had 233 kills, 48 blocks and 36 aces.

The Cortland commit had 690 assists, 152 digs, 47 blocks and 45 aces.

Julianna Speranza, Mineola, OH, Sr.

Speranza had 137 digs, 112 kills and 16 aces.

Adria Vargas, Sayville, OH, Sr.

Vargas missed last season with an injury but totaled 226 digs, 103 kills and 69 aces as a sophomore.

Mary Wolcott, Half Hollow Hills West, S/RS, Sr.

The Cornell commit had 172 kills, 157 assists, 41 aces and 21 blocks.

Morgan Wolcott, Half Hollow Hills West, OH, Jr.

Wolcott had 176 kills for the Suffolk Class A runner-up. She's Mary's younger sister.
